2CD AD VG+

Providence Civic Center, Providence, Rhode Island
11-7-87          Songs Of Eternity

2CD (SHN) AD VG-

In audio CD format, this is a 2CD show.

11-7-87             A Dangerous Frontier

2CD (SHN) AD EX-

In audio CD format, this is a 2CD show. CD1, track 10, "Red Sector A", is missing right at the very beginning.

      Springfield Civic Center, Springfield, Massachusetts
11-9-87    Parts In Motion

2CD AD VG

This is an odd show to rate. All of the instruments including Geddy's vocals are clear, but everything is very tinny. This show starts about a minute and a half into "The Big Money", which was the first song of the night.

      RPI Fieldhouse, Troy, New York
11-12-87  Invisible Forces

2CD AD VG

      The Omni, Atlanta, Georgia

Brendan Byrne Arena (Meadowlands Arena), East Rutherford, New Jersey
12-7-87            Fire In The Meadowlands

2CD (UI) AD VG

The first few tracks are a little rough with the occasional problem throughout. This show is a high VG.

Nassau County Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Long Island/Uniondale, New York
12-9-87        Our Second Nature

2CD NI AD VG+

There are several spots where the recording level was too high, giving us a compressed fuzzy sound.

      Spectrum, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
12-13-87          Lost In The Atmosphere

2CD (UI) AD VG+

There are some rough spots that sound like a rough tape as the sound bounces from side to side, but not exactly like phasing, with CD2, track 1, being the worst. The other tracks aren't that bad. In fact, until this track started I wasn't even going to mention it. The final track has a spot where there is less than a second of missing music.

      Myriad Arena, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
1-23-88 JD3

2CD NI AD VG+

This show is a very high VG+. In fact if you were to say it was an EX-, you wouldn't get any arguement from me.

      Barton Coliseum, Little Rock, Arkansas
1-26-88  The Mission

2CD AD VG+

Kiefer U.N.O. (University Of New Orleans) Lakefront Arena, New Orleans, Louisiana
1-27-88   Turn The Stage

2CD AD VG

1-27-88      Ring Of Fire

2CD (SHN) AD VG+

In audio CD format, this is a 2CD show. This show was recorded a little too high. This shows up the most during the cheering between songs. I am very tempted to give this show a VG.

      The Summit, Houston, Texas
1-29-88  Red Stages

2CD X AD VG

Frank C. Erwin, Jr. Special Events Center (Frank Irwin Center/UT Erwin Center/

2CD AD EX-

San Diego Sports Arena, San Diego, California
2-3-88            Look The Storm In The Eye

2CD AD VG+

CD2, track 4, "YYZ", is cut after 2:30. This show is a high VG+.

      The Forum, Inglewood, California
2-5-88   Primed Mover

2CD AD VG

There is top end clipping at times. My home stereo speakers have lots of clipping on CD2 starting on track 3, until 3 seconds before the end of the show, but none on my headphones. "Closer To The Heart" cuts in a little late, and "Mission" is cut off slightly early, which is also the end of the show. There is some tape hiss, but not too bad.

      Hollywood Sportatorium, Hollywood, Florida
2-13-88  3 Of A Kind

2CD AD VG+

2-19-88          Filters On Our Eyes

2CD (SHN) AD VG+

In audio CD format, this is a 2CD show. This version of this date is slightly better for the instruments. Geddy's vocals are nearly identical in quality.

      Mid-South Coliseum, Memphis, Tennessee
2-21-88      An Endless Universe

2CD AD EX-

      Rosemont Horizon, Rosemont, Illinois
2-25-88           Extreme Exult   (Part 1 of 2)

2CD X AD VG

This is a 2 Date/4CD set. I will break up the set if you would like.

      Rosemont Horizon, Rosemont, Illinois
2-26-88           Extreme Exult   (Part 2 of 2)

2CD X AD VG

This is a 2 Date/4CD set. I will break up the set if you would like.

      Peoria Civic Center, Peoria, Illinois
2-28-88  In Touch

3CD X AD VG+

The 3rd CD is the opening act, "Tommy Shaw". I will break up the set if you would like.

2-28-88          Force Without Form

2CD (SHN) AD EX-

In audio CD format, this is a 2CD show. There is top end clipping at times. My home stereo speakers have lots of clipping on CD2 starting on track 3, until 3 seconds before the end of the show, but none on my headphones. "Closer To The Heart" cuts in a little late, and "Mission" is cut off slightly early which is also the end of the show. There is some tape hiss, but not too bad.

      Joe Louis Arena, Detroit, Michigan
3-4-88               Great Balls Of Fire   (CD2 is bad)

2CD AD EX-

Maple Leaf Gardens, Toronto, Ontario, Canada
3-7-88             There's No Place Like Home

2CD AD VG

3-7-88     Behold Our Fire

2CD AD VG

A few of the songs are faded out a few seconds early. With an equalizer I feel this show could be a low VG+. As it is, it is a high VG, and is the better quality version I have from this date.

      Omaha Civic Auditorium, Omaha, Nebraska
4-2-88         Anything Can Happen

2CD AD VG+

4-2-88 Leaving Omaha

2CD AD VG+

4-2-88                    Leaving Omaha, Again - Platinum Edition

2CD AD EX

My copy seems to have been retracked and reindexed if I go by the inserts. But if I go by the fact that everything fits perfectly with no click at track change, then the track list on the back insert is incorrect. The last 2 tracks from CD1 on the inserts are the first 2 tracks on the CD2 I have. I did a test burn and found that the possibly rearranged songs do blend and flow perfectly right thru to the next track as if it was originally mastered this way.

4-2-88      The Dream Ignites

2CD AD EX-

This show just barely gets an EX-. The sound is clear, but the bass isn't punchy.

      Milwaukee-Mecca Arena, Milwaukee, Wisconsin
4-5-88         Imaginations On Fire

2CD X AD EX-

      Hara Arena, Dayton, Ohio
4-10-88           A Glimpse Of What's Beyond

2CD AD EX-

NEC (National Exhibition Centre), Birmingham, England
4-21-88                        A Desperate Voice  (Crystaline Records)

2CD SB EX

4-21-88 A Desperate Voice  (Xanadu - Suck My Disc! LTD)

2CD X SB EX

This show is primarily sourced from the purple-lable laserdisc called "A Show Of Hands".

4-21-88    Hear In Hear Out

2CD X SB EX+

The date on the inserts are incorrect. They say 2-25-88. On this CD, Geddy says "Thank you very much....Goodnight" and right after that the beginning of the next track starts by means of editing out the audience cheering to bring the boys back out for an encore. Where as with the show "Extreme Exult" from 2-25-88, Geddy says "Thank you, thank you very much....Goodnight" and leaves the stage awaiting the call back out for the encore. Upon further checking I have found that this was taken from the show called "A Desperate Voice". This version is better though.

NEC (National Exhibition Centre), Birmingham, England & SECC (Scottish Exhibition and
Conference Centre) (The Big Red Shed), Glasgow, Scotland & Wembley Arena, London/Wembley, England
4-21, 23, 24, 26, 28, 29 & 30-88            Kingdom Of Fire (Chapters 1-10)

2DVD-R (SHN) X AD VG- to EX-

As with nearly all bootleg releases, there are flaws. For these shows there are sounds every so often throughout all of the 17CD's. The sound is like when the needle on a turntable runs over a tiny spec of dust in the groove of an LP. From what I understand this is considered diginoise. Most of the time these sounds aren't going to be heard by most people, but my ears are extra sensative is why I hear them. None of the times do they interfere with the quality or desireability of this release. These sounds exist in the Master SHN Files. The amount of clicks per show varies from a couple of shows having almost none, to a couple having a decent bit of them. I would say that out of all of the shows, CD1, track 10, from "4-21-88 Kingdom Of Fire (Chapter 2)", has the worst spot with the first 40 seconds having several of these clicks. I will break up the set if you would like.

NEC (National Exhibition Centre), Birmingham, England
4-21-88              Kingdom Of Fire (Chapter 1)   (of 10)   (Soundcheck #1)

4-21-88                       Kingdom Of Fire (Chapter 2)   (of 10)

NEC (National Exhibition Centre), Birmingham, England
4-23-88                       Rhythms Of The Night

2CD AD VG+

4-23-88 Birmingham '88 - Remaster Edition

In audio CD format, this is a 1CD show.

4-23-88                       Kingdom Of Fire (Chapter 4)   (of 10)

2CD (SHN) X AD VG+

In audio CD format, this is a 2CD show. This version of this date is from the same taper as "Rhythms Of The Night", but I would say this one has the better sounding quality.

NEC (National Exhibition Centre), Birmingham, England
4-24-88                       Kingdom Of Fire (Chapter 5)   (of 10)

2CD (SHN) X AD VG+

In audio CD format, this is a 2CD show. The beginning of "Marathon" had to be edited.

SECC (Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre) (The Big Red Shed), Glasgow, Scotland
4-26-88           The Glasgow Gathering

2CD (UI) AD VG+

This show is a high VG+. (2nd Source)

4-26-88                       Kingdom Of Fire (Chapter 6)   (of 10)

2CD (SHN) X AD VG+

In audio CD format, this is a 2CD show. CD1, track 10, had to be edited after 3:08. It's hard to say how much is missing, but I think it is less than a minute is all. The best quality version of this date is "The Glasgow Gathering", and it is from a different taper.

      Wembley Arena, London/Wembley, England
4-28-88   A Fire In London

2CD SB VG+

CD1, track 3, "Limelight", has about 2 minutes where the left channel cuts in and out. CD1, track 9, "Red Sector A", is cut short after 1:42.

4-28-88              Kingdom Of Fire (Chapter 7)   (of 10)   (Soundcheck #3)

1CD (SHN) X AD VG-

In audio CD format, this is a 1CD show. This soundcheck might have received a VG, but several tracks have alot of someone messing with the microphone(s).

4-28-88                      Kingdom Of Fire (Chapter 8)   (of 10)

2CD (SHN) X AD VG

In audio CD format, this is a 2CD show. This show is a high VG.

4-29-88                      Kingdom Of Fire (Chapter 9)   (of 10)

2CD (SHN) X AD VG

In audio CD format, this is a 2CD show. This show was recorded too high, with the first couple of songs on each CD being the most noticeable.
