      Milwaukee-Mecca Arena, Milwaukee, Wisconsin
10-9-82  In The Middle

2CD X AD VG

16 seconds after the Nassau employee talking starts at the end of "Countdown", the CD fades out.

      Joe Louis Arena, Detroit, Michigan
11-8-82      Signals Get Crossed

2CD AD VG

11-8-82 Digital Men

2CD AD VG+

U.D. (University Of Dayton) Arena, Dayton, Ohio
11-14-82 Dayton '82

2CD AD VG

The beginning of the show is rough. CD1, track 6, "Subdivisions", has a spot at the end that drops out and back in really fast. CD1, track 8, "The Camera Eye", has three quick bleeps at 1:38, 2:21 & 2:38. Same CD, track 11, "The Analog Kid", has one quick bleep at 4:07. CD2, track 4, "Countdown", is very muddy, with distortion throughout that is kinda hard to notice.

Maple Leaf Gardens, Toronto, Ontario, Canada
11-17-82  Distant Signals

2CD AD VG

      Rosemont Horizon, Rosemont, Illinois
11-19-82          The Edge Of A Dream

2CD (SHN) AD VG

In audio CD format, this is a 2CD show. This show was recorded too high, and there is a tape flip shortly after the beginning of "2112".

Capital Centre (Cap Centre/The Cap), Largo/Landover, Maryland
11-29-82  Largo 1982

2CD (UI) AD VG

CD1, track 11, 4:09, there are 2 small gaps in the music with blank space. Each are well under a second.

Nassau Coliseum, Long Island/Uniondale, New York
12-8-82          Electronic Countermeasures

2CD AD VG

There is a skip on CD2, track 2 at 2:35 where there is a small amount of the song missing. This show is a high VG.

Nassau Coliseum, Long Island/Uniondale, New York
12-9-82               Autumn Woods And Winter Skies

2CD AD VG+

Somewhere toward the end of CD2 there is a click, and one spot where there is a very small music gap.

12-9-82            Music In The Abstract

2CD (SHN) AD EX-

In audio CD format, this is a 2CD show.

Long Beach Arena, Long Beach, California
2-14-83           Californimania   (Part 1 of 2)

2CD X AD G

There is a somewhat steady top end distortion throughout, otherwise I would rate it VG+. This title is a 2 Date/4CD set. I will break up the set if you would like.

Long Beach Arena, Long Beach, California
2-15-83            Californimania   (Part 2 of 2)

2CD X AD G

There is a somewhat steady top end distortion throughout, otherwise I would rate it VG+. This show has the source tape drop out a channel at a time for a brief time, then come back. It does this several times. It also has tape drag for several minutes. This title is a 2 Date/4CD set. I will break up the set if you would like.

      The Forum, Inglewood, California
2-17-83              The Signals Tour/Los Angeles

2CD X AD VG+

The inserts say this is from 2-18-83, but sadly it is from 2-17-83. The quality of CD1 changes on track 7 at 2:30 until the end of this track, and again on track 14 at 4:45 to the end (which is about 2 minutes long). The quality drops nearly one whole notch to VG. Track 14, which is "Red Barchetta" is cut short by less than a minute.

2-17-83              A Forum Full Of Weapons

2CD (UI) AD VG+

2-17-83 The L.A. Kid

2CD AD VG+

"The L.A. Kid" is thought to be from 2-18, but after comparing each show, I have discovered this to be incorrect. Geddy and the crowd are identical at all spots, track after track. The problem is which of the 2 nights are these 3 titles from. I believe them to be 2-17, and here is why. Two of Geddy's inbetween comments would be semi difficult to remember word for word. (1) "Thank you...thank you. Good evening Los Angeles and surrounding area or wherever you may be from. How ya' doing tonight...okay? It's nice to be back here for a couple of days eh, at the Forum to play for you folks and ahh if you don't mind we've got a lot of things to play for you tonight. If it's okay, we'd like to do something from 'Permanent Waves' right now, this is 'Freewill' ". (2) Right after "Digital Man", Geddy says "Thank you, he don't need no bed, yep...That's what he said". "The L.A. Kid" has a spot near the end of CD1, track 8, "Closer To The Heart" where it has been edited slightly by fading it out, then snapping back in. "The L.A. Kid" has a crisper sound, and is my choice for best version.

Pan American Center (Pan Am Center/Pandemonium Center) (New Mexico State University), Las Cruces, New Mexico
2-26-83      Excitement So Thick

2CD AD VG+

This is 1 of 2 parts of the "Digital Rush Experience 4th Anniversary Boxset". The other is, "5-24-81 Streets Of Diversity". The artwork has 2-23-83, but this is incorrect. There are places where it sounds like people are walking by the taper as we hear the quality become muddy or distant sounding, but then again this is an AD recording, and these things happen. There are times when this show pushes being dropped to VG, but does just barely hold on to VG+. This show is better than my comments. This is a 2 Date/4 Show set. I will break up the set if you would like.

      Hartford Civic Center, Hartford, Connecticut
4-1-83        You Move Me

2CD (UI) AD VG

The first couple of minutes of the show are rough. This show is a high VG.

Le Colisee (The Coliseum), Quebec City, Quebec, Canada
4-7-83       Signals De Quebec

2CD AD VG+

CD2, track 14, "YYZ/Drum Solo", which is also the final track of he CD, and show, has a lot of a noise that sounds as if this was a radio broadcast, and the reception had become weak.

      The Forum, Montreal, Quebec, Canada
4-8-83       Stories From Signals

2CD AD VG

CD2, tracks 3 & 9, have very small parts of each edited out.

4-8-83     Visual Chemistry

2CD AD VG

There is noticeable tape hiss throughout, but it is tolerable. CD2, track 3 at 00:18, there is part of the song missing. Same for track 8, on the same CD, at 1:28. This is the best version of this date that I have.

      The Forum, Montreal, Quebec, Canada
4-9-83         A Change Of Synergy

2CD AD VG-

4-9-83      A Digital Forum

2CD AD VG+

The audience near the taper seems to like to cheer by hitting/kicking their seats, because at times it mixes with the music and sounds like it was recorded too high causing a distorted phasing sound. When the hitting/kicking does mix with the music, it doesn't last very long though.

Ahoy Sportpaleis, Rotterdam, Holland (The Nederland / The Netherlands)
5-3-83       Queen Of Oblivion

2CD AD VG

5-3-83          Mass Production Zone

2CD AD VG+

This is the first date of the European leg of the Tour. To me this show sounds fast. The difference in speed is greater than "Signals From London" compared to the Remastered version, which was 4.5% too fast.

Festhalle Messe Frankfurt (Frankfurter Messegelande), Frankfurt, Germany
5-7-83   Signpost

3CD X AD VG-

The 3rd CD is the opening act, "Nazareth". I will break up the set if you would like.

5-7-83          It's All In A Days Work

2CD AD VG+

CD1, track 1, "The Spirit Of Radio", has a couple of spots where the sound goes back and forth from left to right.

      Congress Centrum, Hamburg, Germany
5-8-83  Hydrant

2CD X AD VG-

The beginning is a little rough. CD1, track 5, "Subdivisions", has 1 click 2 minutes or so into the song. CD1, track 9, "The Trees", has the left channel cut out until Alex switches to the electric guitar. CD2, track 4, "The Temples Of Syrinx", has some of it edited out at the end. There is clipping throughout, otherwise this show may have received a VG.

      Philipshalle, Dusseldorf, Germany
5-10-83  New World

2CD X AD VG-

      Rhein-Neckar-Halle, Heidelberg/Eppelheim, Germany
5-11-83       Signals From Suburbia

2CD AD VG

This show starts about half way into "Tom Sawyer".

Vorst Nationaal (Forest National), Brussels, Belgium
5-12-83    Belgian Delights

2CD AD VG+

There is one spot on CD1, track 4, "Subdivisions", at 4:44, in which less than a second of music is missing.

NEC (National Exhibition Centre), Birmingham, England
5-14-83              Suite Signals - Volume 1   (of 3)

2CD AD VG+

CD1, track 10, "The Analog Kid", has Alex missing part of his lead, and not just a few seconds either, as the band plays on. CD2, track 3, "Limelight", has the first minute or so missing. There is loud clapping around the taper, but it fades after about 30 seconds after the beginning of each track. This is a 3 Date/6CD set. I will break up the set if you would like.

NEC (National Exhibition Centre), Birmingham, England
5-15-83              Suite Signals - Volume 2   (of 3)

2CD AD VG+

There is a low thumping noise at the beginning of "Tom Sawyer" that doesn't last very long. This is from the original recording. This is a 3 Date/6CD set. I will break up the set if you would like.

      Wembley Arena, London/Wembley, England
5-17-83           Significant   (Part 1 of 4)

2CD X AD VG-

This show is missing the "Intro" and "The Spirit Of Radio", plus the second "YYZ" of the "YYZ~Drum Solo~YYZ" track. Again, this night could have been a VG if it wasn't for the relatively low volumed clipping. This is a 4 Date/8CD set. I will break up the set if you would like.

      Wembley Arena, London/Wembley, England
5-18-83           Significant   (Part 2 of 4)

2CD X AD VG-

This show is mising the "Intro". It also contains relatively low clipping. This night's clipping isn't bad, but it does exist. This is a 4 Date/8CD set. I will break up the set if you would like.

      Wembley Arena, London/Wembley, England
5-20-83         Significant   (Part 3 of 4)

2CD X AD VG-

This show has clipping as well. This is a 4 Date/8CD set. I will break up the set if you would like.

      Wembley Arena, London/Wembley, England
5-21-83              Signals From London

2CD AD VG+

5-21-83 Signals From London Remaster

2CD X AD VG+

The non remastered version runs about 4.5% too fast, but it does have one extra live bonus track called "Mystic Rhythms". The remastered version has the speed corrected, and is better sounding.

5-21-83           Significant   (Part 4 of 4)

2CD X AD VG+

This show is missing the "Intro", and the very beginning of "The Spirit Of Radio". It's just too bad the taper (whom I am assuming taped all 4 nights) wasn't able to figure out the clipping problem until the final night. This is a 4 Date/8CD set. I will break up the set if you would like.

5-21-83        Countdown To London

2CD AD EX-

5-21-83    Absolutely Signals

2CD AD EX

The "Intro", and into "The Spirit Of Radio" is very rough with several pops of some kind.

5-21-83           Music Of The Spheres

2CD (SHN) AD EX-

NEC (National Exhibition Centre), Birmingham, England
5-22-83    Birmingham `83

2CD X AD VG

A couple of tracks have several loud pops each. There are a couple more tracks that have a pop or two each. Except for like 10 seconds of the Medley, this is a complete show. It does sound a little fast, but not by very much. Kinda gives the feel of everyone in the band being very excited to be there that night. This show also has some crackling noises, but not the kind as would be heard on an LP.

5-22-83             Suite Signals - Volume 3   (of 3)

2CD AD VG+

This is a 3 Date/6CD set. I will break up the set if you would like.

      Royal Highland Centre, Ingliston/Edinburgh, Scotland
5-25-83     The Last Signal

2CD (UI) AD VG

There is a few seconds of tape munch during the "3 Stooges Intro". Geddy has to ask the crowd to move back later in the show. This is the final show of the tour. On a couple of tracks there is someone playing bass in the background. It's not that noticeable during the songs, but during the quite parts you can't miss it. Track 10, CD1, there is an edit at 1:30, where some music is missing, but no gap. CD2, track 3, at 1:24, has what may be a quick recovery from the microphone(s) being dropped. CD2, track 6, "Xanadu", is cut really short at 1:58. Some of CD2, track 7, is also cut short at 3:17. There is a bonus track with an interview of Neil Peart by "Tom Russel" on 5-24-83, that is 25:32 long.
