There is phasing, old tape wear and tape munch starting with track 7 mostly. This isn't constant, but it is noticeable. Track 4, "Xanadu" is cut short by about 2:40 at 7:42. Track 8 around 1:35, there is about 12 seconds of tape munch. This by far is the worst spot for tape munch. Track 16, "2112: Grand Finale", is from an SB recording, and until I have time to check, my hunch is that it's from the "All The World's A Stage" release. Hard to say if it's from the LP, CD or possibly the audio cassette tape.

This show is the best version of this date.

11-12-77          No Title   (2nd Source)

Right around 1 minutes worth of CD1, track 4, "Xanadu", is missing. There is a live version of "Cinderella Man" at the end of this show. Even though I cannot prove it. and since they didn't play this song on this tour, I believe it to be a bonus track. The reasons why are that this song was taken from an LP at some point. There is a difference in sound quality in the crispness for the treble, with the cheering being the most noticeable. The people cheering are different than the rest of songs.

12-2-77     Fly In The Night

1CD X AD VG-

The well known date of 12-12-77 for this release is definitely incorrect, as is the artwork which says it was in 1980. This is the second half of the show.

12-2-77    Cinderella Kings

1CD AD VG+

This is the second half of the show. There is a low volumed thumping noise throughout most of the show. This thumping noise is most prevalant during the song breaks. IMO, Geddy's vocals are a little too up front in the mix, but still worthy of my rating.

2-16-78           Glasgow One   (Part 1 of 2)

2CD X AD G

This show has many unfavorable problems, thus my worst rating possible.

      Glasgow Apollo, Glasgow, Scotland
2-17-78             Glasgow Two   (Part 2 of 2)

2CD X AD VG-

This show has a few problems, but nothing like 2-16. CD1 has a bunch of diginoise on track 9, "2112", especially after the 17 minute mark, and it gets progressively worse until the end of the song, which also happens to be the end of the CD.

2-17-78        Castles In The Distance

2CD AD VG+

2-17-78       Where Is The Tape ?

2CD AD VG+

CD1, track 7, at 6:10, the sound quality becomes muddy, but clears up about a minute later. Then same CD and track, there is a part that has been edited out at 6:54. This show is a high VG+, and is the best version of this date.

      Hammersmith Odeon (Hammy-O), London/Hammersmith, England
2-19-78  Waterproof

2CD X AD VG

CD1, track 1, "Bastille Day", has a double missing gap between 1:24 & 1:26. You would have to hear this to understand what I mean.

2-19-78      Hammersmith '78

2CD NI AD VG

The first couple of minutes are rough. CD1, track 1, there is a small amount of the song missing at 1:16, but there isn't any gap. "Waterproof" at this spot has a double missing gap between 1:24 & 1:26. My guess is that someone took out the gaps and the tiny amount of music between them, and thus we get a small break in the music flow. There is alot of tape hiss, but this is still my choice for the best version of this date.

2-22-78 Sound And Fury

2CD AD VG+

2-22-78         Sheffield City Hall 22.2.78

2CD AD VG-

This show has low volumed clipping in the right channel about every 5 seconds. However the clipping does tend to be like one really quick clip. If it wasn't for that, this show would have received a nice VG. I am unsure if the inserts I have were released or approved for this show by the person that mastered it, but IMO these were released with the show.

      Manchester Apollo, Manchester, England
2-23 or 24-78  Live At Manchester Apollo

1CD AD VG-

There is a lot of clipping in the left channel, otherwise it would have received a VG. I am unsure if the inserts I have were released or approved for this show by the person that mastered it, but IMO these were released with the show.
